PPF 8/21

Hi Everyone!

Yesterday I felt like I was caught up on things and gave myself some time in the art room. I swear everything I touched seemed to not work. Maybe it was the storm brewing that had my spirit disturbed. Yes, we are in a storm. My sunny days are gone again.
I finally pulled out a canvas and started to paint. It was better buuuttttt..... So for PPF I only have a WIP that is new.

So I looked through some old art photos and this is what I found.
This is a flat board canvas with melted crayons.  I use to do this with bees wax but the crayons are less expensive and the color already added. LOL

The spiked beads are actually plastic with great color.
I picked these up in Dallas, Tx.
Several years back.
Wish I had more they were nice beads for being plastic.

These painted gold leaf faces were part of a series I did years back. I was happy that they all sold. Except one I kept for myself.

Today I am linking up with Eva and Kristen with Paint Party Friday. I hope you  stop by to see all of the great artist that join in.

You have a beautiful start to your WIP. The other pieces are wonderful. Love the colors!

Your WIP is good. And I like the faces, but they're a bit scary. I have an African face made of wood, and sometimes it scares me, too! Happy PPF, Valerie

yes, gotta purchase beads or geegaws like that when you run across them... they are perfect for that. Such interesting art, it makes me want to tell a story... 'they laid down their masks for a moment... and really saw each other" LeeAnna

Hi Nicole :)) Your WIP is stunning as it is! I've had days like that too. The faces are beautiful and full of emotion, I love the colour palette! Oh the crayon/bead art is nice! I've used crayons in my art too. I used to use white crayon to outline areas that I didn't want the watercolours to touch and it worked pretty well!
