T is for Eye Surgery

Hi Everyone!

I am happy that I can get in on T Tuesday with
Bluebeard and Elizabeth.
I will be off the PC and blogging for the next few days. Tuesday early morning is my eye surgery. I am so hoping this one goes as well as the one I had last month.
Today I got more of the heavy lifting done around the house and painted another shelf.
This is the shelf that I had before Mr. M. built that larger one. I was going to use this small shelf for something else when it dawned on me how well it fit against one of the fridges and facing the pantry.
So I painted it this morning and it is perfect.

I can't tell you how much I love this color it's called, Prairie Brush.

I did start a new painting. It is left over paint off my pallet. Not sure where I will go with this but I like it so far.
And as I write this I am treating myself to my best oatmeal, cinnamon and cardamon cookies. They are so soft and full of spices. Most of you know I drink gallons of water everyday.
For me, a cup of hot water is very soothing.
I will see all of you in a few days after my eye heals a bit.
Be Safe out there.

Happy Monday

Hi Everyone!

Good morning and happy Monday. It use to be that Mondays started off the new week. I guess it still dose but it is different now that Mr. M. and I stay home. Since the end of Jan. We have only been to the grocery store, and only when we absolutely need to, and the doctors. Other than that we have made a nice stay-at-home life. Part of that life for me is meeting up with all of you. Finding out what you are doing and how you are doing. Seeing your art, and gardens, and photos from those of you who do venture out. Or old photos of days of vacations.
The world is in a mess and coming to see all of you makes my life better. I hope in some small way I do the same for you through my blog.

Today I am getting all the odds n ends finished up around here before my surgery tomorrow.  This will be the second surgery in just over a months time. The surgery center is extremely careful of Covid and I feel comfortable now to go there.  The first time I was terrified. LOL I am the first patient tomorrow so I will be home before noon.
Yes I have to drive to Eugene, OR.
Then I have a week of not lifting or bending, or jumping. I am hoping to just be in my art room creating.
In the meantime Mr. M. built me a shelf that I shared a few days ago. I had painted it a gray color that was too blue for me so I painted it one of my favorite colors. Sage Green. I LOVE IT!

The old shelf that was in this place is now on the another wall. I will paint that today. This gives me so much more room in my pantry.

What are you doing today? I would really love to know.
Make it a good one.

Saturday Garden Affair

Hi Everyone!

I was planning on showing some things in my garden today when I realized it is Garden Affair over at Jaipur Garden blog so this worked out perfectly.
We had winds of 30 mph yesterday and it is suppose to be more of the same today. So while the morning is just a breeze the plants are uncovered getting some morning sun. I have told all of you how tricky it is for me to have a garden here.  Some good points is that it is so wet in the morning that I don't have to do and AM watering.

this is the dew on my car

this is the dew on the plastic from my garden

Just when I think a plant is about done producing I get surprised.

There are 9 squash coming in on this plant.

and 6 on this plant.

Peppers are finally coming in and these are Lima beans.
They take a long time to grow but this plant is full.

I was going to "un plant" this cucumber plant because I though it was done. There are 3 more cucks coming in.
Also more potatoes. I have a feeling I will end up finishing the
growing of these inside when the time comes.
It already feels like fall here.

Last but certainly not least my tomatoes are finally turning red. Well some of them anyway. Next year tomatoes and peppers will go into a green house it is just too cold here to grow them outside.

These were supposed to be Roma tomatoes
but they are growing like cherries.
at this point I really don't care as long as they turn
and are good when I pick them. LOL

And yesterday's harvest.
Yes more squash, herbs, onions, string beans, and romaine lettuce.
I hope that if you are growing any type of garden that it is bountiful.

Be safe and have a good weekend.
