AEDM Last day

Hi Everyone!

Well for me this is a bit of a sad day. It is the last day of Art Everyday Month. I have enjoyed this so much in so many ways. One it got me back into the groove of create art and two I got to meet and catch up with some extraordinary artist. To Leah and all of the artists thank you so much.

I was hoping to have my big canvas finished but that is going to take a few more days. So I thought I would show some of my favorite pieces of the past. I know it doesn't meet the challenge but I couldn't go the last day without showing some art. 

This was a time when I was trying hand to face images. I have many.	This is one of my hubbies faves.
I did a series of Spirit people. This is just one of them.	My husband was having surgery last year and I drew this while I waited.

This is a model that I could never find her name. I have drawn several of her.	Another Spirit People piece.
I drew this face while riding in the car. Ha car art. then I tried to paint it. I like the drawing much better.	This is another model I like drawing. I love her face.

I had to throw in one leather sculpture.	I made it so the mouth opens and closed

AEDM day 29

Hi Everyone!

This is a piece of art that is not quite finished but I wanted to show something for AEDM day 29. I have had so much fun joining in with the  other amazing artist and am sorry this will end soon. Tomorrow actually. LOL

 So kind of staying with the brown prompt from Rain's art date, I started this piece. A gold leaf ribbon that will blend into the finished piece. This is 30x15" gallery canvas.

I pushed my couch  out of the way to get the photo and I was standing on the stairs so it is crooked but you get the idea. LOL

AEDM day 28 Thursday Art date PPF

Hi Everyone!

Today is AEDM, Thursday Art Date and PPF. How fun. TAD has a prompt and today is Greys and Browns. So here is my abstract with just two colors, uh yeah Grey and Brown LOL

AEDM Day 26

Hi Everyone! 

Here we are at day 26 for AEDM. I need to make some time to draw. This is another quick draw and I can see so many mistakes. LOL In any case here is my entry for today. I am glad I started to draw again. I have not been doing it for very long and have lots more to learn. However, it is fun for me and actually clams me. What art calms you and takes you away?

ADEM Day 25

Hi Everyone!

Today is day 25 for AEDM. I have had so much fun getting back into the groove. This morning I did a quick draw.  My quick draws are any where from 10 to 30 minutes. This one is a 20 minute draw. Had to take the photo under a tungsten light so it is not a good photo. Hopefully you can see it OK.

Hi Everyone!

If you know me at all you know that I am a bit on the macabre side. I have always wanted to create my version of the creepy nun on the Conjuring movies.  It may not be the greatest but I had so much fun  playing with this one.  I used graphite, charcoal, and ink for her eyes.

Rain's AEDM PPF

Hi Everyone!

Well the hits just keep on coming. Not only am I dealing with a failed eye surgery, on Tuesday morning I had a mini stroke that landed me in the ER and then a transfer from to a larger hospital in the next town.  I have been put through every test and all looks well. The hospital care was amazing but just being in hospital is awful. I couldn't wait to get out of there. I got home late last night. Sooooo I am taking it easy today.

The other day I read the prompts for Thursday 

Art Date with Rain, and today is "Chilling" I really liked this one and so got to work on it.

Hi Everyone!

It is Monday a start of a new week. I still am having serious eye problems since my eye surgery and have set up some acupuncture on Wednesday. We are so lucky here to have a place that offers it for donations. My insurance doesn't cover it and I certainly can't afford what is charged here. There are several places that offer it here at $90.00 a needle. YIKES. 

Anyway focusing in on art has helped me calm down about loosing part of my sight.

Thank you to Leah for hosting AEDM. I came at the best time for me.

Well this is day 17 for AEDM. This drawing was done so fast that I wasn't going to post it for all the problems with it. But it is what it is and I want to be apart of this challenge. Today I have the rest of the day to create with slow intentions. LOL

AEDM 16

Hi Everyone! 

It is day 16 for AEDM. I have been doing quick draws to stay on top of it. However, today I am starting a large canvas that I am very excited about. I don't know how long it will take me but I want to have it finished for AEDM.  In my first living room I have a large wall that displays many of my abstract paintings and this one will go in the middle of the wall. When it is finished I will show the entire display. For now though a quick draw. 

I just grabbed a piece of computer paper to draw this and the paper folded so there is a shadow across the middle.

Today for me I have a quick abstract. These are not the colors I normally work in. Blues are difficult for me, but I am trying to use them more. Soo like I said just a quicky.

AEDM day 14 Rain's Garden PPF

Hi Everyone!

The last 3 days have been filled with appts so I have not been home much. That puts my art time on the back burner.  So this AM I did the 20 minute warm up for AEDM day 14. OK, OK I just couldn't get her eyes right so she is getting ready for a masquerade. LOL The joy of art, you can make your piece go in any direction.  

I forgot today is Thursday. Geeessss.
In addition to AEDM, I am joining in with Rain's Garden Thursday Art Date. The prompt is Forest and Critters. Since I have been so busy this week I am showing an older piece. 
It is my Bamboo Forest with white crane.
